The couple—originally from Poland—have lived here for a number of years and “love it and call it home” but are also bringing a small bit of their nation to Ireland.

“The products are very well-known and reliable and good value. The idea behind Vitamin Shop is that we sell at Polish prices rather than Irish prices. We work off a lower mark-up and pass that price onto the customer. We are always expanding the range of stock,” said Barbara.

Barbara added that she would encourage women to come in and ask for advice.

“I find a lot of women don’t want to go into these kinds of shops because they think it’s all for bodybuilders but it’s not. We have nice, open, friendly staff and can help to recommend vitamins and minerals that women might find beneficial.”

“We are building the site at http://www.vitaminshop.ie/ and that will be ready soon. Customers will be able to buy products online and can also contact us by phone or simply drop into the shop. We’ll look forward to it,” said Barbara.
