Page 1 of 2 After honing the art of creative graphic design in some of the world’s largest modern cities, Limerick man, Kevin Meaney, has returned to Shannonside to run his own firm. Born in the Treaty City 27 years ago, Kevin from Ballyclough, has an impressive past in graphic design and an even more impressive future to look forward to.
“During my time working in the industry, I observed businesses hiring different web, graphic, film and print companies, in an attempt to achieve a quality end product, which cost them time and money. I created Irish Design Front (IDF) in 2007, a cross-media company, which caters for all the branding needs of a business,” Kevin said. IDF is, in Meaney’s own words, “a multimedia company with a difference”. Much of that ‘difference’, that sets Kevin and his own firm out from others in the sector, is his unique experience and top-level training and qualifications. “I’m a graduate of the University of Limerick with a Masters in Interactive Multi-Media. I have worked in the design industry for over eight years and I’ve applied my skills in cities worldwide, such as London and Sydney,” he said proudly. Kevin also explained that the key ethos of IDF is bringing a client peace of mind, showing them exactly what they need and when they need it. “The key to IDF is integrated brand design. That means designing everything from a company logo to its website, promotional videos, business cards, headed paper, sales brochures, gift vouchers and advertising templates.”
Irish Design Front is based in Killaloo and boasts a dynamic and creative Graphic and Web Design department. “These days, with the advances in broadband, it is far more common for people to use ‘search engines’ such as Google or Yahoo to locate a business or service. It is important for businesses, both big and small, to have a strong Internet presence. “Otherwise they could be losing out on potential sales. Here at the IDF we design creative, appealing, and efficient websites to promote a client’s business,” Kevin said. The young Limerick ‘twenty-something’ with a talent for achieving success so early in life was educated at Crescent Comprehensive, which is steeped in Jesuit teaching history.
