ICE Broadband is helping businesses and households in Newcastle West to re-connect their technology following the devastating flash floods that caused millions of euros worth of damage in the town.
Managing director of ICE Broadband, Yvonne Rooney, said the company who recently launched its new wireless broadband service in the town witnessed for themselves the devastation caused by the floods. “We believe that it is our duty to contribute in some way to helping the community to get back on its feet. So we are making an initial donation and we encourage other companies, who benefit from customers in Newcastle West, to help them get their homes and businesses back to normal,” said Miss Rooney. “We are making the donation to the Newcastle West and District Chambers of Commerce as we believe that they are best placed to identify the businesses in the towns that can best benefit from the donation,” she explained. “Our team will also be working in the town and will be delighted to provide advice and assistance to the local community on getting their technology up and running again,” Miss Rooney announced.
ICE Broadband is committed to providing quality service to the largely forgotten rural populations and communities in Ireland where lack of quality broadband is a particular problem. The company uses high quality, internationally proven, equipment coupled with bespoke network management software which constantly monitors the network and customer installations to ensure fast, reliable, high-speed broadband at all times.
