| Kirby Group up for first ever RECI Awards |

A LIMERICK firm is in with a chance to scoop top prize at Ireland’s first ever electrical Contractor Of the Year Awards. The Kirby Group Engineering Ltd has been named as a national finalist in the first ever all-Ireland Register of Electrical Contractors of Ireland (RECI) Awards. Having been selected from all the entrants in Limerick, Kirby Group Engineering will attend the RECI awards ceremony at the end of March at which RTE celebrity Duncan Stewart will announce the winner. The RECI Awards are supported by Hibernian Aviva and Arachas Corporate Brokers and represent the largest electrical safety event in Ireland. The awards ceremony recognises top performers in the electrical contracting industry like Limerick’s Kirby Group and encourages higher standards throughout the sector. The finalists comprise of high calibre electrical contractors from across the country and the judging panel is made up of high-profile industry and health and safety experts. “It is a great honour for Kirby Group to be nominated for such an award and to be recognised by industry peers and I hope Limerick consumers recognise this accolade the next time they are in need of electrical contracting services,” said David Mcgloughlin, RECI General Manager. Commenting on the awards and the Kirby Group’s nomination, Michael Garvey of Hibernian Aviva added: “We at Hibernian Aviva congratulate the Kirby Group on its nomination. The awards nomination is a great opportunity to showcase its expertise and commitment to electrical safety. I hope to see the Kirby Group among the RECI winners awarded for their professionalism and competency”. Guy Percival, Director, Arachas Corporate Brokers also commented: “The upcoming RECI awards also raise awareness among Limerick consumers of the importance of using only fully-registered, competent and certified electrical contractors to carry out all electrical installations. Arachas is delighted to be involved in the upcoming RECI awards and we congratulate Limerick’s Kirby Group on its nomination”. The RECI Electrical Contractor of the Year Awards will be presented in two primary categories—domestic and commercial/industrial—based on submissions made by RECI members and subsequent RECI Inspection Reports on the shortlisted finalists. All RECI members are eligible to enter. |
