ACIST Network—made up of 75 companies from Limerick, Galway, Clare and Tipperary—will launch its Skillnet Loyalty Programme on October 15 with the help of the winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year competition.

Anne Heraty, the founder of successful company CPL Resources, will appear at the event in the Temple Gate Hotel, Ennis at 7.30pm.

The aim of the programme is to provide a forum to encourage companies to do business with each other.

Employees within the network can also avail of special offers from the consumer based companies within the network.

There are several forms of “loyalty offerings” including “business to consumer”, “business to business” and “referral and business”.

ACIST Skillnet is based in Clare but has provided training and network support initiatives to over one thousand participants over the last two years, and is still open to new members.

It draws together small and large companies within the Industry, Services and Tourism sectors to learn from each other through over 127 “best practice” training and network events.

ACIST has also developed a state of the art Training Management System ATMs which helps companies and individuals to manage and record their training needs.

ACIST Skillnet was awarded €325,000 in funding by Skillnets a Department of Trade and Enterprise Initiative in 2005 and recently has applied for a further two years of funding which should ensure that the initiative continues until 2009.

All are welcome to the event and for more information call 065-7081466 or see the website www.skillsacist.ie.
