Shannon Development has announced the appointment of Gerry Slattery as Regional Development Executive for Limerick City and the National Technology Park (NTP). ![]() Gerry Slattery (left), newly appointed Regional Development Executive for Limerick City and the National Technology Park, with Eoghan Prendergast, Regional Development Manager, Limerick City at King John’s Castle, Limerick. As part of its Corporate Strategy, Shannon Development is putting a strong focus on the ongoing development of Limerick City as well as the future development of the NTP at Plassey. Mr Slattery has worked in a wide range of senior positions both in Shannon Development and the private sector for over 25 years on both industrial and tourism projects. The Limerick native was educated at Crescent College Comprehensive and the University of Limerick and is also an experienced Project Manager and a Chartered Engineer. He will join the Shannon Development Limerick Team managed by another local man, Eoghan Prendergast—the Regional Development Manager for Limerick City. “Gerry’s appointment reinforces our strong commitment to, and focus on the future development of Limerick as a place where new businesses are welcomed and nurtured, and where visitors to the city will remember it as a great place, full of fun, and a must return to location,” said Mr Prendergast.
“It is great to have someone with Gerry’s extensive experience of industry and tourism on our Limerick team. Our priorities for Limerick are to encourage new or established entrepreneurs to base or start their businesses in Limerick City including the idea of a live /work solution to their company’s future growth.” |
