The software works with Tierney’s ‘Hotellinx Suite’ installed in hundreds of hotels worldwide. Brian Reeves, the Managing Director of Avvio.com said that the integration between websites and property management systems will gain popularity as hotel operators faced with rising costs and increasing competition will have to promote their rooms online more. “The new technology eliminates this problem and enables customers to view real time rates, as and when the hotelier introduces them. The on-line booking engine incorporates existing hotel booking systems to ensure incidences such as double-booked rooms and out of date accommodation rates are a thing of the past.” Andy Tierney of Tierney’s Office Automation- the industry leader in hotel IT support- described the new agreement as a “very significant development”.
Avvio.com has also announced plans for a major software drive in international markets. The international launch of the system will take place at the prestigious World Travel Market in London next month (November 12-15). David Collins, Commercial Director of Avvio.com said that ‘Convert 4.0’ is expected to yield over €45m in accommodation bookings in 2007.
Avvio.com was founded in February 2002 and employs 27 people at its offices in UL. |
