Parkmagic are to make motoring easier for Limerick drivers using national toll roads with the implementation of barrier-free tolling on the M50 from the end of this month.
Limerick-based Park Magic have joined forces with PostPoint, Ireland’s leading e-transaction provider, to provide TollTag.ie – a comprehensive tolling and parking package for Irish motorists. TollTag.ie is the only retail ‘pay as you toll’ solution in the market. Motorists using the M50, M1, M8 and M4 will be able to purchase tags at a price of €30 including two free passes through the M50. Managing director of ParkMagic, Paul Fitzgerald commented: “It has always been our vision to provide a payment system that can be used to pay for just about any daily transport cost, be that parking on street, off street, free-flow tolling and barrier tolling.” “We are absolutely delighted that together with PostPoint and our growing numbers of partner Local Authority and car park owners, TollTag.ie from ParkMagic is now in a position to provide such a convenience to the Irish motorist,” said Mr Fitzgerald. The TollTag.ie tag will allow users to avail of cheaper tolls on the M50 without the requirement to commit to a monthly fee or divulge card details.
The solution also includes automatic subscription to street parking pay-by-phone services as well as pay-by-phone parking service at participating Irish Rail train stations around the country and a growing number of private car parks managed by Euro Car Parks. The same account may also be used to reserve parking in Dublin, Cork and Shannon Airports. TollTag.ie toll tags are available in selected Centra, SuperValu, Londis, Topaz and Apple Green stores or in selected stores where you see the PostPoint sign.
