One of Limerick's most successful companies, Kirby Group Engineering, has made a number of senior appointments to its management team, with its Managing Director Fergus Frawley, announcing the appointment of four new associate directors at the company.

The new associate directors are; Mr Michael Hennessy, Business Development; Mr Eoin Ryan, Commercial; Mr Derry McMahon, Finance and Mr Padraig Plunkett, Power and Engineering.

"Kirby Group has expanded significantly over the last number of years securing large prestigious contracts, opening new offices in Galway and Cork and expanding our employee base," Mr Kirby said. "We have built a very strong business by providing our services to key sectors such as the healthcare and energy where specialist engineering services are required. We have ambitious plans to continue to grow our company and the appointment of Mike, Eoin, Derry and Padraig as associate directors positions us strongly for our next phase of expansion and diversification," he added.

For over 40 years, the Kirby Group has worked with clients in Ireland and overseas bringing engineering, construction and commercial know-how to complex build projects. Through its specialist divisions, the Group provides mechanical electrical, instrumentation, power, calibration and communications services to clients across a range of market sectors.

It includes blue chip companies such as Analog Devices, Abbott, Dell, ESB, Irish Cement, Roche, UCD, UL and Wyeth Biopharma among its clients.

Headquartered in Limerick, Kirby Group Engineering employs 650 people and also has offices in Dublin, Galway and Cork.

The Group has a turnover of €82m and has grown consistently year on year across all regions and business sectors.
