Bank of Ireland has formally opened the doors of its new state-of-the-art University Branch, heralding the arrival of a new approach to banking for the people of Limerick.

The new branch is located in the Castletroy Park Development complex and at 4,600 square feet, the branch area has more than doubled in size when compared to its previous premises.

Branch Manager, Paula Hanly said that the branch has "served the people of Limerick now for nearly 34 years and this substantial investment cements our commitment to our growing customer base".

"We now look forward to operating from this state-of-the-art premises, with all its supporting facilities, and delivering a first class service proposition to the business and personal customers in the expanding Castletroy environs."

The new branch has 13 staff members and provides a full suite of banking facilities to meet the financial needs of all customers.

Its prime location outside Limerick's congestion zone benefits from a variety of link roads, giving ease of access to Bank of Ireland's commercial, personal and University customer base who can avail of ample surface and underground car parking within the development .

This new branch is part of a significant nationwide branch investment programme by Bank of Ireland that has seen the transformation of many its branches.

Under the new design principles, customer service areas dominate the floor space and include a new style customer service desk, a modern self service section, a fast cash queuing system and discreet financial advice consultancies. The absence of traditional branch counters means that staff are highly visible and accessible in the open plan design.

Ms Hanly and her team extend an open invitation to all to visit the new premises, which can also be contacted at 061-330600.
