ONE of Ireland’s leading business women, Terry Prone, will impart
advice to local women in business at a seminar organised by Limerick
County Enterprise Board, this Wednesday, November 12, in the Woodlands
House Hotel in Adare. Renowned PR supreme Ms Prone is a founding director of The Communications Clinic, having previously managed Carr Communications with her husband, Tom Savage, and TV personality Bunny Carr. She has served on several boards, trained in 11 countries, provided consultancy to Ireland’s top companies and has advised nearly every Taoiseach since Jack Lynch. She has featured on radio since she was 15, had her own radio programme by 19, was an editor of a magazine by 21, and wrote her first book by 25. Ms Prone was also a scriptwriter for the Gay Byrne Hour, and she has written numerous television and radio plays in addition to the more than 8,000 major speeches she has crafted for political and business clients. She has also written for every national paper, is a regular commentator and has appeared on nearly every current affairs programme in the country. Terry was at the vanguard of the development of Media Training in Ireland, and Agnes Relihan, business adviser, Limerick County Enterprise Board explained that this Wednesday’s seminar would be ideally suited to “owners/managers of small to medium size businesses who wish to ensure maximum exposure for their business in tough times”. “Terry’s wealth of experience is invaluable in helping businesses create an effective and attention grabbing profile, thus making their products or services extremely visible above their competition. We are looking forward to learning the top tips from the PR world,” Mr Relihan said. |
