LIMERICK Rock And Roll Club presents John Lennon lookalike Gary Gibson at the South Court Hotel on Saturday November 14.
The British singer who bears an uncanny resemblance to the late Beatles star has been in show business now for over 25 years. Gibson looks so like John Lennon it’s spooky. In fact, Yoko Ono is said to have been so shocked when she first set eyes on him outside her home in New York that she fled in panic.
Supposedly Paul McCartney wasn’t amused either and is deemd to have had muttered some expletives in Gibson’s direction.
But Gary not only looks like Lennon, he sounds like him too. For 30 years Gibson has toured across the world with the very best Beatles tribute bands, taking in major Beatles festivals in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. He has even been booked at the famous Olympia Theatre in Paris to mark 40 years since the ‘Fab Four’ performed in the French Capital at the very same venue.
Gibson’s new show ‘Lennon’ now comes to the South Court Hotel on Saturday November 14. He will be singing some of Lennon and The Beatles’ biggest hits as well as some of the rock’n’roll classics Lennon loved so much.Tickets cost €15 and are now available from Limerick Rock And Roll Club committee members.
