AWARD-winning show group Smackee return to the University Concert Hall with the fantastic production ‘Phantom and the Musicals’ on Thursday October 9.Barry Walker’s Smackee has established itself as the UK’s foremost showgroup. They have broken records for any group in the business having been voted ‘Best Showgroup’ by their fellow artists in the industry for the past 12 years. Accompanied by musicians on guitar, bass and keyboards, Barry Walker, Dawn Glenville and others will work their way through a lively, dynamic and colourful show of hit songs, sung at their very best and presented together with beautiful costumes and breathtaking choreography.Following sell out performances at UCH in recent years, the show returns bigger and better than ever. While still featuring some old favourites such as ‘Phantom of the Opera’, ‘The King and I’, ‘Les Miserables’ and ‘Evita’, there are also some spectacular new additions including hit songs from ‘The Sound of Music’, ‘Chicago’ and ‘Calamity Jane’ as well as other Roger and Hammerstein classics.Tickets cost €25 and are available for booking by calling 061-331549 or online at www.uch.ie.
