Bare Space Theatre Company will hold a one-night only gala musical evening—Fascinating Rhythm—in the Hilton Hotel on Friday February 1, bringing together a group of talented local performers.

Following its acclaimed production of Sondheim's 'Sweeney Todd–The Demon Barber of Fleet Street' last April, the company is now changing pace with the show in the relaxing surroundings of one of the city's newest and most lavish hotels.

The programme features songs from some of the best-known movies and stage musicals, as well as easy-listening and popular favourites and Bare Space is promising "an evening sure to enchant and entertain in equal measures. Broadway, Hollywood and London's West End will be on the musical menu, set to suit all tastes".

Some of Limerick's most established and recognisable faces will be performing together on the night, including Jean McGlynn, Liam O'Brien, Lisa Bresnan, Judy O'Connor, Ian McGlynn, Denise Broderick and Dave Griffin.

Under the baton of Nöel Lennon and his musical ensemble, cast the winter blues aside and relax to the music of some of the world's best-loved composers—given a unique theatrical and polished treatment.

Bare Space Theatre Company was founded in February 2007 by Limerick-based theatre artists in order to produce top-quality theatre utilising the best local talent.

The company also aims to bring important works of theatre, never before seen in Limerick, to the stage. Company members are: Michael Finneran, Dave Griffin, Nöel Lennon, Jean McGlynn, Ian McGlynn and Paul Nash.

Productions so far include 'Limerick Leading Ladies' (February 2007) and 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street' (April 2007).
