COUNTY Limerick soprano Mairead Buicke will perform as part of the Brahms Chamber Music Series at All Saints Church, Castleconnell on October 14. The programme is a mixture of Brahms, the featured composer in the series, and Robert Schumann, his friend and champion.

Pianist Anthony Byrne will perform the two rhapsodies, Op. 79 for solo piano as well as Schumann’s early ‘Papillons’ Op. 2. Mairead accompanied by Anthony will give a recital of a selection of popular Brahms songs as well as Schumann’s ‘Liederkreis’ Op. 39.
