HOT on the heels of his current single ‘Gangsters’, DJ Rico Tubbs brings his block rocking beats to Trinity Rooms this Friday, October 3.Described as “massive” by BBC Radio One’s Annie Mac, Rico’s ‘Gangsters’ the first release from his ‘Knuckle Sandwich’ album, has received rave reviews and massive floorplay in the dance music world. Reactions to promo copies of ‘Knuckle Sandwich’ continue in the ‘Gangsters’ vain, getting huge support from the heavyweights, and with an EP coming out later this year on Sinden’s Counterfeit label the rise of Rico is set to continue.Every breakbeat, rave stab, old school hip-hop sample and voluminous bending, bouncing bassline has been meticulously crafted by Rico into an electro-funk monster, that is going to be moving dancefloors for some time.As a DJ, Rico has been one of Finland’s superstars for a very long time.
