Acclaimed electro-pop duo Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip are bringing their show to Limerick’s Trinity Rooms this Friday night.

Based either side of London but originally hailing from the same small town in Essex, the duo’s immaculate conception was born in a half hour burst of creative alchemy and has since created enormous buzz, combining witty and shockingly spot-on decrees from the mind of vocalist Scroobius Pip with producer dan le sac’s mesmeric electro blessed beats.

A low-key limited edition 7”, the duo’s first single ‘Thou Shalt Always Kill’ unexpectly became the thinking man’s 2007 summer anthem, the song quickly becoming the most publicly requested track in all eternity on XFM’s Xposure show. Rave reviews followed, with The Guardian (London) endorsing it as “2007’s first underground anthem” and NME enthusing “Scroobius Pip, you’ve written the Track Of The Year.”

Le sac and Pip spent last summer crafting their debut album, due out soon. In between recording, the duo have been wreaking havoc at live shows and this summer are playing at festivals from Coachella to Glastonbury. A heart stopping live performance on Later with Jools Holland earlier this cemented their live reputation and they are set to be massive this summer party soundtrack with new single “look for the woman”.

Anyone yet to witness the pair’s awesome prop-embellished live set is in for a real treat.

Trinity Rooms are delighted to present this amazing duo’s debut live show in Limerick at the Clubhouse on Friday May 9th, Doors are open at 9pm with admission just €10 including late club.
