IRISH showband legend Dickie Rock has announced a concert performance at the South Court Hotel on Saturday June 20. One of Ireland's most successful singers, Dickie Rock had 25 Irish hits from 1963 to 1983, surpassed only by the Beatles, Elvis Presley, Cliff Richard, David Bowie and the Rolling Stones. During his time with the Miami Showband, Dickie attracted the kind of mass hysteria normally reserved for The Beatles and more recently boybands like Westlife. Rock came fourth in the 1966 Eurovision Song Contest with a song called 'Come Back To Stay'. Dickie Rock performs at the South Court on June 20. Tickets cost €25 and are available from both the George and South Court hotels. |
