If you have always dreamed of a career on the silver screen, one of Ireland’s most successful and popular acting courses specifically designed for film and television will come to Limerick on October 22, 23 and 24.

The three session Acting for Film and Television course will be held in the Absolute Hotel from 7pm to 11pm and there are 10 places available.

No previous acting experience is necessary, only enthusiasm and a willingness to plunge in and take part on-camera. Over 4,300 people have done the course so far.

Participants must be over 17 and over 30s and 40s are especially welcome.

The course helps participants get acting work in television dramas, commercials and feature films by covering topics such as learning to slate to camera, match continuity between shots, cold-read for films and audition for commercials.

The course is run by Shane Munro of The Irish Film Actors Workshop.

Past participants have landed lead roles in TV series, award winning feature films and commercials such as Touched by an Angel, Reign of Fire, Breakfast On Pluto, Batman Begins, Garage, Pure Mule and Fair City.

Booking is essential as places are limited. To book a place or get further information, call 074 9126994 or e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
