FRESH from the Big Brother house, Dane Bowers comes to Trinity Rooms on March 16 for an exclusive DJ set.
Bowers rose to fame with British boy band Another Level in the nineties. The group had seven top ten singles including 1998’s number one ‘Freak Me’ as well as several platinum-selling albums.
Following the split of Another Level, Dane went on to pursue a solo music career which included the smash-hit duet 'Out Of Your Mind’ with Victoria Beckham. The song reached number two in the UK charts and became a top-sellling hit in many countries including Australia, Japan and Europe.
This was followed by a duet with US singer Kelis. As well as singing, Dane proved his talents as a songwriter, collaborating with acts and top producers such as Jay Z, Wyclef and Rodney Jerkins.
In 2004, Bowers wrote and starred in a sitcom pilot called ‘Bow to the Bowers’. It was a satirical look at the music industry, casting Dane as an egotistical, vain version of himself. Recently Dane was the winning participant on Channel 4’s ‘Celebrity Come Dine With Me’.
In January this year the pop singer was the seventh contestant to enter Channel 4’s ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
Dane Bowers will now visit Limerick for a special DJ set at Trinity Rooms on Tuesday March 16. Tickets cost €10 and are now available from the venue and Empire Music, O’Connell Street.
