Trinity Rooms, Limerick is celebrating once again after Keith Cunningham, better known to Trinity Regulars as KC, took away the crown for Best Regional DJ at The Meteor Irish Music Awards, placing him up in the ranks with world renowned artists including Westlife, Amy Winehouse, The Blizzards, and Bruce Springsteen.

At a star studded ceremony in the RDS, KC clinched his award ahead of five other nominees and was congratulated by host Dara O’Brian in front of a 3,000 strong audience including Shane Ward, Snow Patrol and Sinead O’Connor.

Having already won a PPI Radio award late last year for his breakfast show on Cork’s Red FM, now the man, known as Keith Cunningham to his parents, is officially the West’s Best, winning the top-broadcasting prize in the country.

Resident DJ in the main room at Trinity Rooms on Friday’s for the past two years where he has built up a huge-following for his hip-hop tinged funky house music marathons!

Trinity Rooms Paul Webb said: “We are all over the moon for KC, he richly deserves this award and we can’t wait to throw him a huge party this Friday and best of all he came in at 12/1 so we are all celebrating.”

KC played at last years Trinity Rooms party’s in Barcelona, Ibiza and Planet Love and is currently finishing the first of his 2008 infamous mix cds where the likes of Cypress Hill nestle up to Kerri Chandler and a tribe called Quests drop beats over Justice!

Trinity Rooms will be hosting a very special victory party for KC this Friday 22nd February and to celebrate KC’s momentous win are giving free admission to everyone who comes down before midnight so get your dancing shoes on early and party!
