FitzGerald's Woodlands House Hotel in Adare is the latest venue to team up with Limerick Speed Dating to bring the exciting concept of dinner dating to local singletons later this month.

Adare's first ever dinner dating event is being held on August 22 and is predominantly geared towards singletons in their 30s and 40s seeking an alternative way to spend their Friday evening. Those attending will have the opportunity to dine with up to 24 members of the opposite sex, so whether it is romance, good company or some good old fashioned craic you are seeking, this occasion is not to be missed.

The concept is simple; everyone gets to meet someone new for 15 minutes each during each course and if they both like each other, the organisers will pass their contact details on to each other. At the end of each course, the men move onto the next course at the next table and everyone meets three new dates.

All guests on arrival will be greeted with a warm Fitzgerald family welcome and receive a complimentary glass of punch to set the tone for the evening.

An eight course meal tailored by the head chef will follow, catering to an array of different palates.

Some of the courses featured include a warm smoked chicken salad, carrot and coriander soup and roast Irish Angus beef on a bed of Colcannon and seasonal vegetables.

After the meal, there will be a DJ spinning until late to give guests a chance to mingle. The hotel boasts ample free car parking facilities and will also offer discounted room rates for those attending the event.

Places are limited to 100 people and tickets are available at a cost of €67 (excluding online booking fee).
