How to conceal prominent facial features

If you are unhappy about one of your facial features, be it a wide nose, big chin or high forehead, now is the time to learn how to camouflage them with a few simple and effective tricks.

Make-up is all about flattering the face, enhancing your best features and toning down prominent ones. So instead of letting your least favourite feature affect your confidence, create an optical illusion to minimise or disguise it.

I could not survive without my touché éclat to camouflage my lines.

You should use modest amounts of make-up to tone down features—it is very important to blend it in well.

Be aware that toning and shading is more obvious in daylight. The last thing you want is an uneven effect when you step out the door.

For evening, apply make-up in good lighting and apply a bit more than during the day for more definition.

Nose
If you have a wide nose, use highlighting and shading to make it look slimmer.

This make-up trick needs a flawless base to work effectively, so begin by applying a thin layer of creamy foundation.

Using the pad of your finger , apply a highlighter down the centre of your nose, liquid, cream or powder textures work best. Take care not to apply any to the sides of your nose.
