Everyone speaks about carbohydrates, fats and protein but you rarely hear about how important vitamins and minerals are.

They are the foundation. If your vitamins and mineral levels are low the effectiveness of everything else will be decreased.

If you are low in vitamins and minerals you will have low energy, low immune system, bad hair, skin and nails, will find it harder to get results from training, recovery from training will be slower, and you could feel faint on occasions.

Vitamins and minerals are found predominantly in fruit, vegetables and salad and it is vital to consume a large and varied amount of these.

Make small changes and try different sources.  It’s easy to have salad or veg at lunch and dinner, or to have a piece or two of fruit throughout the day.If you do not like them you must use a multivitamin and mineral supplement.  The one that I recommend is Juiceplus without which I know I could not survive my fast paced lifestyle…
