Enjoy Some Music House Entertainment at Aubars THE launch of the Smirnoff Music House took place last Friday night in Aubars Bar and Nightclub on Thomas Street. The Smirnoff Music House will be a weekly event every Friday night from 8pm. Resident band, The Melodies, one of the most in-demand groups on the Limerick social circuit at the moment, entertained the many invited guests with their many ‘old school’ classics and modern twists. As part of the Smirnoff Music House experience, Aubars has launched a new range of cocktails designed exclusively with the team at Smirnoff Vodka. You can now look forward to enjoying new tastes such as The French Martini, Japanese Slipper and Caipiroska together with old favourites such as Cosmopolitans and Mojitos. The resident Aubars mixologists are ready to advise on a drink to suit every taste and will certainly entertain you with many cocktail bar tricks throughout the night. Speaking with sales manager, Eoin Kernan, he said that they are very proud of this new venture which it is hoped will give people a new choice when it comes to Friday night entertainment. Customers are guaranteed fantastic entertainment as well as great value for money and many special deals and a free late bar !!. Eoin said that that they are really offering all the frills without the hidden charges. The Release Party also takes place every Friday night downstairs in the club, and The Saturday Session which sees four bars, three DJ’s and two Floors providing patrons with one fantastic night. The University Concert Hall WATERFORD-born magician Keith Barry was back in the University Concert Hall last Wednesday, with his brand new show ‘The Asylum.’ A capacity crowd filled the Concert Hall to see Barry’s amazing and award-winning blend of magic, mentalism and hypnosis. Well-known singer Mary Black is also returning to the University Concert hall on Thursday February 11th. Mary who is hailed as one of the world’s finest female vocalists, has played a major role in bringing Irish music to global audiences. Unfringed Festival takes place in Limerick. THE thirteenth annual Unfringed Festival took place in the city from January 27-31. The five-day festival, which had The Belltable as its main source, saw the very best of local, national and international talents perform in venues throughout the city. Award winning ‘Cirque de Legume’ was one of the highlights from this year’s Unfringed. The festival was a great success, say its organisers.
