Guest list Food and drink at your reception are priced per person. The more people you invite, the more money you spend.
Wedding Date Many venues have special offers for midweek dates or off peak months such as January or November and this can help stretch your budget. With the Irish weather the way it is you probably have a better chance of getting a beautiful clear day in January than in July!
Recruit Friends If there is a baker amongst them he/she can make your wedding cake, any musicians can play at the church and so on. Don’t be afraid to ask they can always say no.
Start Saving They will talk to you about the best way to accrue interest on your savings. Financial Institutions such as the EBS Parkway are now offering 7.5% on their Regular Saving Account. This can be a great way to get a few extra €’s for your wedding day.
Hire a Planner
A good wedding planner will help you get the most for your money and can often negotiate the best rates on your behalf with their preferred vendors, they will help you stick to your budget and help you save time – and now for the cliché–time is money! Weddings are expensive but by getting creative and by making some smart choices you can have the wedding day you’ve dreamed of from your chosen budget! |
