This Friday (June 20) at 7pm the Great Southern Trail will hold a Midsummer Eve Tunnel to Castle Walk. All are welcome to assemble at Barnagh Lay-By (N21, four miles West of Newcastle, County Limerick) for a six mile summer evening jaunt; visiting the 128 year old Railway tunnel and then traversing mostly minor roads to medieval Glenquin Castle which will be open for climbing. For road safety, walkers are asked to bring a high visibility vest and a small torch. Return transport will be provided from Glenquin to Barnagh at 10pm.
