Revamped Thomond Park to host its first ever fashion show E-mail

THERE will be a change in the typical shorts and jersey combination at Thomond Park on November 6 when the stadium hosts its first ever fashion show for charity.

‘Eye on Fashion’, which was launched at the ground on Monday, is an initiative by UL Bohemian RFC to raise money for the Niall Mellon Township Trust.

The rugby club is aiming to send 40 of its players to South Africa to work with the home-building charity by raising around €75,000 with the help of the fashion show and other events.

This will be the first ever fashion show held in Thomond Park and in honour of the occasion, TV3 show, Xposé, will film a segment about the event on the night.

The fashion Show will take place on November 6 at 8pm with models on the night provided by the Holman-Lee Agency and members of the UL Bohs rugby team.

Shops represented on the night will include Gretta Gibbs, Sweetie P’s, Imasa, Shanique, JR’s in the city, O’Donnell Boutique, Tippe Canoe, Melie-B and Joanne’s Fashion House.

Others that will feature include Virginija’s Bridal, Debenhams, Eve’s, Mégo, Tony Connolly’s, Vision 2 Opiticians and Ryan’s Jewellers.

UL Bohemian RFC will also be launching their new rugby kit on the night.

The salon Bellissimo will be doing the models’ hair and and make-up will be by Debenhams.
