Alfa Romeo Ireland has recently announced the pricing of its new sporty compact, the new Alfa MiTo. The MiTo sees the return of Alfa Romeo to a segment it has not competed in for some years. The Alfa MiTo is available to order in Ireland from November at prices from €18,995 before delivery charges, for deliveries in January. Named after Milano and Torino, the two cities where it was designed and is built, the MiTo is the first new Alfa Romeo since the 8C Competizione. It borrows heavily, both in styling and engineering as well as spirit, from that car. With its frameless side windows, distinctive grille and circular LED rear lights; the new MiTo is unmistakably an Alfa Romeo. With a power output of up to 155bhp, the MiTo 1.4 TB can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 8 seconds. The MiTo also comes with a new electronic control system called DNA. It was developed from the world of motor sport and feature adjusts the responses of the car depending on the driving style and conditions. Combined with the Electronic Q2 system, MacPherson suspension and rebound springs, the MiTo is claimed to have the kind of handling you would expect from a genuine Alfa Romeo. But it is not just about driving enjoyment, responsibility is also fundamental and the MiTo has been designed to satisfy the highest Euro NCAP rating and low emissions, with the 1.3 MultiJet engine in the lowest tax band, A. And for peace of mind it comes with a 3 year warranty and 3 years AA cover. Caption: The new Alfa Romeo MiTo is available for order now, with first deliveries due in January 2009. |
