Citreon has launched the new Berlingo Multispace a passenger vehicle based on the popular Berlingo van. The Multispace is a mid range MPV that has been developed as a practical and multi-purpose vehicle with improved comfort space from the floor to the roof. The sliding side doors give good access to the three rear seats. The rear boot door gives huge and easy loading access. The new Multispace comes with 6 airbags as standard. The safety deal includes ABS brakes, EBD and EBA as well as central locking and front fog lights for functionality and style. The Multispace is tuned for better comfort than the Berlingo van model. This modern looking Berlingo is fitted with a 1.6 litre turbo-diesel engine with two power options, either 75bhp or 92bhp. The engine is very economical and comes with a CO2 rating of just 10og/km. This puts the new Berlingo people carrier into the Band C road tax category with a low annual road tax rate of just €290. Berlingo Multispace prices start €21,880 before delivery charges. Citroen claims that the small MPV sector in which the Multispace is a key player accounts for sales of 6,000 units per year in Ireland. The market is lead by the Ford Transit Connect and the Fiat Diablo. |
