FORD has announced full details on the spec and prices for the new Fiesta model, which has just been launched on the Irish market.
The new Ford Fiesta will be based on three main series, Style, Zetec-S and Titanium.
The entry level Fiesta Style is available with the option of a 1.25 and 1.4 petrol and a 1.4 TDCi engine.
It comes with a host of standard features, some new for a car in this class. These include alloy wheels and fog lights, 7 airbags incl. driver knee airbag, remote central locking, power front windows and mirrors, follow me home lights, trip computer, steering wheel controls via HMI technology, capless fuelling; colour coded bumper/mirrors/ door handles and 4 speaker remote radio CD.  Prices start from €15,395 before delivery charges.
In addition to above Style series, the Fiesta Zetec-S, with a 1.6 petrol engine, comes with unique 16" alloys, air conditioning, halogen projector silver headlamps, sport suspension, large rear spoiler, front sports seats, front and rear bumper skirts, and leather steering wheel.
Prices for the Zetec models start at €17,295 before delivery charges.
The top of the range Fiesta Titanium models with a 1.25 and 1.4 petrol and a 1.4 TDCi engine features (in addition to Style features), special alloy wheels, air conditioning, sports seats, chrome grill surround and belt line finisher, front fogs with chrome surrounds, halogen projector silver headlamps, and aesthetic ambient lighting.
Prices for the Titanium models start from €16,995 before delivery charges.
This is a new and bigger car, with more internal space and good road holding.
The new models reflect a significant price increase over the older Steel II entry models, which started at €14,669 for the three-door model.
Ford dealers across the country kick off a special 10 day ‘week’ next Friday, centering on the launch of the new Ford Fiesta. As well as special offers on the ‘09 range of Ford models, there is the chance to enter a draw to win a €5,000 shopping spree with an RTE Off The Rails stylist.
It’s not just new car buyers that Ford dealers are reaching out to next week: strong new car sales in 2008 have left Ford dealerships with a healthy supply of quality used cars, with plenty of bargains in these cost-conscious times, especially on the Focus, which is one of the best regarded used cars on the market.
The 10-day week starts Friday 7 November and runs until Monday 17 November.
