A new website (www.mypois.ie) has been launched to give motorists access to over 15,000 Points of Interest (POIs) around the country via their Garmin sat nav. myPOIs.ie has teamed up with Garmin and Georgina Campbell Guides to compile a free downloadable list of hotels, restaurants, pubs and clubs so wherever you are in Ireland you can find a place to sleep, eat or drink!

In addition to this you can also download POIs for road safety cameras, post offices, ATM's, schools, pharmacies and much more. This is not just good news for consumers but businesses operating in sales and distribution sectors where employees are travelling nationwide on a daily basis to conduct business. The data is sourced from a stockpile of postal addresses and business resources. Partnerships with specialists in location-based information guarantee accuracy at all times. All you have to do is log on to the website, download your chosen POIs onto your Garmin Sat Nav and get on the road.

John Dundon of myPOIs.ie believes this new website is a one-stop shop for all your needs when out and about: "The small number of POIs for Ireland that come preloaded on GPS systems has always been very disappointing. Sat navs are great devices but the lack of quality local POIs means that you are not getting full value from your GPS. With myPOIs.ie we have done all the hard work for you so in a matter of seconds you can download thousands of POIs directly to your Garmin Sat Nav."

Bob Nixon, Director of Business Development with Georgina Campbell Guides said: "With myPOIs.ie we have combined our expertise to offer motorists a comprehensive list of recommended establishments from our Guides wherever you are in Ireland. This way, people are assured of quality information from a trusted and well-known source."
