VALUES of used alternative fuelled or hybrid cars are continuing to outperform the market, according to a UK used car report. The latest British Car Auctions (BCA) Pulse report shows that while the small number of alternative fuelled vehicles entered for sale by fleet operators is small; they are averaging up to 122% of guide prices. In comparison, average fleet values for petrol and diesel are currently around 92% of guide prices. Demand is increasing for hybrid electric/petrol cars such as the Honda Civic and Toyota Prius and volumes sold have overtaken those of petrol/LPG cars although numbers remain small, according to BCA. |
