Nearly all of these car manufacturers have chosen Michelin as their tyre supplier, sometimes on an exclusive basis, simply because Michelin Green X marked tyres make an important impact on vehicle environmental performance.

One of the Green X marked ranges is the new Michelin Energy Saver, which helps to reduce fuel consumption by nearly 0.2 litres per 100 km and, consequently CO2 emissions by up to 4g per km.

The key advantage of the new tyre is that it generates these savings while increasing tyre life and without impacting motorist safety.

On wet roads, this performance can be seen in the Michelin Energy Saver’s braking distances, which Michelin claims are shorter than those of other major-brand tyres.
