Mitsubishi Fuso Europe, the commercial van and truck division of Mitsubishi Motors increased sales in 2007. While European production was up by nearly 14%, the company exceeded the 10,000 units sales barrier for the first time ever since Daimler took a majority interest in the business.

The strong European performance was mirrored by Mitsubishi in the Irish market where the Canter is a popular commercial vehicle in its class. Gary Collins, General Manager of Mitsubishi FUSO Ireland claims that the Canter van is the market leader in the 3.5t - 7.5t chassis and cab segment with a market share of 23%.
