THE OHM Group has agreed an exclusivedistribution agreement for the Republic of Ireland for the Modecelectric powered vans. The Modec van is a zero emission 5.5 tonneGross Vehicle Weight commercial vehicle with zero emissions and zeronoise.

A Modec has up to a 160 kilometrerange, a top speed of 80 km/hr and up to a 2 tonne payload.Recharging is simplicity itself. Just get out, plug in and go home.

In the UK, Tesco is among the users ofthe Modecs in their fleets. These vans must undergo full EU approvaland the OHM Group expects to begin delivers into the Irish market inearly 2009.

The OHM Group, established in 1972,already imports Jaguar, Saab, SEAT, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge andDaihatsu brands of motor cars, DAF and MAN trucks and buses, VDLbuses & coaches, Hyster Forklifts, Hubtex multi-directional sideloading fork lifts, SDMO generators and Lister Petter and John Deereindustrial engines. The Group employs over 250 people, operating frompurpose built, state-of-the-art facilities at 6 separate locations.
