The new Nissan X-Trail has fresh styling with a safe design that gives minimal change over the older model. The new X-Trail is designed for practicality and functional use. Nissan has retained a special trim in the boot area which can be removed and washed out after carrying mountain bikes or outdoor gear. The fascia has a can holder for keeping your drinks hot or cold. The overall design is a balance between road and trail. The new X-Trail is the first 4x4 in the world with new ALL MODE 4x4-i, which Nissan claim is the most sophisticated all wheel drive system. There is one diesel engine option: a 2.0 litre dCi producing 150bhp and a high output version with 173bhp. This marks a drop in size from the 2.2 litre diesel engine used in the previous model but engine power has gone up from 136 to 150bhp. The petrol engine used is a brand new 2.0 litre 141bhp unit. Standard specification on this dynamic new vehicle includes 16" alloy wheels, Bluetooth phone connection, automatic air conditioning with rear ventilation and remote stereo and phone controls on the steering wheel. The new X-Trail is claimed to have the biggest boot areas in its class and easily able to take your biggest loads. It includes a unique innovation; Super Luggage, a versatile double deck trunk incorporating a double floor and specially designed drawer. Prices for the X-Trail start at €32,950 for the two-wheel drive petrol powered version and rise to €45,100 for the entry diesel powered unit. |
