RENAULT’S new Koleos crossover vehicle launched across Europe in July is now available in Ireland. The new entry level Koleos Royale will come with the 2.0LdCi 150bhp engine that Renault has developed for in conjunction with Nissan. Renault claims that this engine offers the very latest in diesel technology such as water-cooled Variable Geometry Turbo. It delivers a very useful and broad rev band with torque of 320Nm in low engine speed conditions. CO2 levels for this model stand at 179g/km putting the Koleos Royale in Band E at 28% for VRT and Road Tax. Koleos Royale comes with 17” alloy wheels, electrically adjustable mirror, manual air conditioning and a 60w radio mono CD as standard. The versatility of Koleos is not compromised with the arrival of the Royale entry-level model. A comprehensive list of clever features and equipment makes the inside as versatile and the outside. A split opening clamshell rear tailgate allows for easy loading, even in the tightest of spaces, while the bottom part facilitates the loading of long items or even can serve as a seat for two adults (200kg). Koleos’ boot opening of 1.07m is claimed to be amongst the widest in its category. The new entry level Koleos Royale comes with a list price of €34,690, before delivery charges. |
