Members of the Irish Motoring Writers Association cast their votes based on comprehensive testing of all vehicles. “The introduction of the five category awards has heightened the expectation in this year’s competition,” said Paddy Murphy, General Manger of Semperit Ireland. “The categories really widen the appeal of the awards giving a broader indication of the best vehicles available to Irish motorists across the range”. Last year’s Semperit Irish Car of the Year was the Ford Mondeo. The Semperit Irish Van of the Year title was awarded to the Fiat Scudo. This is the 30th year of the Semperit Irish Car of the Year which was established in 1978 when the Mk I VW Golf won the award. |
