Two sweep finals both with more than €2,000 for the winners will be run at the Markets Field on Saturday in what will be the last major meeting of the year. There will be no Thursday racing from now until January but the usual Saturday and Monday fixtures will continue.

Geri Baggott, secretary of the Ryan 2000 Golfing Society, loves her game of golf.  “I suppose you could say when I was a young girl I had a golf club in my hand before a doll,” said Geri, whose late father, Kevin Quinn was Secretary Manager of Limerick Golf Club.
