Ger Thompson scored the only goal as Murroe beat Cappamore 1-0. It was a great day, too, for Abbeyfeale United who beat Tramore Athletic 3-1 in the Munster Senior Cup with a hat-trick by David Roche. In the next round, Abbeyfeale meet Douglas Hall, who held Limerick 37 to a draw at Jackman Park in the FAI Senior Cup, when it took a penalty for Limerick to win the replay. In the Munster Junior Cup, Kildimo United were 6-0 winners over Granagh United while Old Mill surprised Newcastle West, winning 4-3 after extra time. Breska Rovers B beat Feenagh 2-0 and Rathkeale were 2-1 winners against Carrig Celtic. Ballingarry went out of the FAI Junior Cup, beaten 2-1 by Listowel Celtic in Listowel. |
