Page 1 of 2 RUGBY Munster has launched its own dedicated clothing range, known as the Thomond Park Collection. As a result, it has become one of the first clubs in Europe to launch its own decided range outside of regular team and supporter wear. “Based on trade feedback, we are confident that the range will become established firmly in the casual leisure market as a year-round favourite, and not just a Munster Rugby clothing item,” said Glyn Billinghurst, Sales & Marketing Manager for Munster Rugby. The collection will cater for all age groups, and includes polo shirts, rugby shirts, fashion t-shirts, pants and pull-overs. Meanwhile, a very limited number of ten-year tickets for the new Thomond Park have been released by Munster Rugby. The tickets, priced at €5,500, include many benefits, the most significant of which would appear to be the guarantee of a ticket for home fixtures in the Heineken European Cup. GAELIC GAMES Fr Casey’s of Abbeyfeale underlined its wellbeing on the underage front with a merited 0-8 to 0-5 win over St. Patrick’s in the Premier Limerick Minor Football Final at the Gaelic Grounds. The defending champions overcame a sluggish quarter, after which they trailed by three points, to record their third win in only four seasons, and their seventh title in total. Padraig McHenry, whose twin brother Eoin also featured, emerged as the game’s top scorer with four points, three of which came from dead-ball situations. It was a particularly special occasion for winning centre-back Eoin Joy, who collected his third minor medal at this grade. |
