Page 1 of 3 Greyhounds St Joseph’s Foundation (Charleville) will stage its 21st Annual Fundraising Greyhound Benefit Meeting at Curaheen Park, Cork next Friday (8pm). “This year has been a particularly challenging one for use, with our budget from the government reduced by 10%,” said Dr MB O’Donnell, Chairman of St. Joseph’s. “Still, we will continue to provide a top-class service and monies generated from fundraisers such as the greyhound benefit is invaluable.” St Joseph’s Foundation currently provides a service for over 400 people in Limerick and Cork with disabilities. Last year’s benefit meeting raised over €65,000. Tickets, can be purchased on the night, or from the Foundation at 063/89252. Camogie Struggling Limerick suffered an unexpected home away Dublin, 0-16 to 1-6, in the latest round of the Gala All-Ireland Senior Championship. Limerick’s Joanne Clifford had the teams level early-on with a well taken goal, 1-2 to 0-5, but Dublin went on to lead by three points at the break. Dublin were the only team in the contest for the closing half, reeling off a succession of lovely points. |
